Karol Haney of Cache was recently elected to serve as District 11 Director for the Oklahoma State School Boards Association for the 2012-2014 term.
She took office during the OSSBA's Delegate Assembly held Aug. 25 in Oklahoma City. District 11 includes school districts in six Southwest Oklahoma counties such as Comanche, Cotton, Jackson, Jefferson, Stephens and Tillman.

Haney has been a part of the Cache Board of Education since 1988 and currently serves as board president. She is a former member of the Association for Career and Technology Education and Oklahoma Association for Career and Technical Education, OkACTE Special Needs Division, Lawton Public Schools and Cache Public Schools Transition Council and many other organizations.

She is also very active in the community and is a member of the Cache Methodist Church, Comanche County Industrial Development Authority Board of Trustees and Fit Kids of Southwest Oklahoma, and a former member of the Goodwill Industries of Southwest Oklahoma board of directors.
