WALTERS Walters residents filled the meeting room of the United Methodist Church to discuss proposed ordinances restricting manufactured housing, recreational vehicles, motor homes and trailers.
City Manager John Sheppard starting by saying such an ordinance is being considered.
"There was a rumor two years ago that a man was going to start salvaging manufactured homes and then reselling them so I was asked to put together an ordinance.
"I put it off as long as possible then got about 15 other towns' ordinances and put together a draft that had the most restrictive sections, though it's not as restrictive as Edmond.
"We, (himself and city council members) want you to tell us how you feel about these restrictions" and Walters residents did.
One of the sections that garnered some of the discussion was older manufactured or mobile homes can't be used for storage.
