FREDERICK The Frederick Arts and Humanities Council is gearing up for the Annual "Arts 'n Action" Art and Craft Show Saturday on the Tillman County Courthouse square.
Also scheduled that day is the Friends of the Frederick Library's Annual Book Sale.
The art show will open at 10 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m.
Artists offering handcrafted original items will include Jenny Perry, mosaics; Ronald Kuykendall, pottery and glass jewelry; Beverly Summerford, pottery and photography; Carolyn Mystrick, watercolors; Jim Shelley fused glass; Mark Fuller, pottery; Larry Greer, watercolors; and Barbara Adams, goat milk soap.
The festival also will offer many new and various food vendors. Food items offered will include Frito pies, hot dogs, hamburgers, taco salads, homemade ice cream, cinnamon rolls and homemade desserts.
An entertainment line-up is also slated for the festival featuring some of the best local entertainment around.
The Frederick Chamber of Commerce will offer several different types of T-shirts at a special price of $5; they include Abernathy Boys, Hackberry Flat and Oyster Fry shirts available only in limited sizes.
There will be plenty to see at the Pioneer Townsite Museum, which is just west of the art show on the courthouse square. It will be open from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
