Early detection matters in Alzheimer’s diagnosis

When Ronald Reagan, the 40th U.S. president, told the world he suffered from Alzheimer's disease in November 1994, the stigma surrounding the disease finally started to diminish, according to Carla Scull of the Alzheimer's Association in Oklahoma City. 

Nearly 23 years later, the stigma still exists  but Scull raises awareness of Alzheimer's disease with the hope of erasing the stigma and the goal of finding a cure.
