RollerGirls ready for Saturday

Lawton's 580 RollerGirls are ready to roll out the red carpet for Oklahoma Victory Doll's Outlaws for Saturday night's last home bout of the season.

The RollerGirls, 3-6, will take on the Oklahoma City squad at 7 p.m. in the Great Plains Coliseum. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Tickets for the game are $10 in advance at www.580rollergirls.com, or $12 at the door on game day. Students and military ID cardholders receive a $2 discount. Children 10 and under are free. The charity for the game is the Lawton Armed Services YMCA.

After a tough bout with another Oklahoma City team last month, this one is expected to be another nail-biter, said Marie Berberea, a.k.a. Molly Meet Your Maker. The halftime chuck-a-duck will feature Crash from Magic 95's Indie and Crash Morning Show.

"He's going to strap on skates and play a game Coach Daniel Bates likes to call, 'Don't steal my mojo,'" Berberea said. "Crash will have Mojo, the stuffed animal from Power Puff Girls, and he'll be clutching it for dear life while he enters a sea of skaters who will be trying to take it from him."
