RollerGirls ready to open home season
Lawton's 580 RollerGirls are readying to host the first home bout of the 2018 season when they welcome the Mo-Kan Roller Girlz for a St. Patrick's Day battle royale.
The RollerGirls, 0-1 on the season, will battle the Joplin, Mo., team for what's expected to be a hard hitting bout on the concrete flat-track of the Coliseum, 920 S. Sheridan. Doors open at 6 p.m. and action begins at 7 p.m.
TIckets are $10 online or if purchased from a skater before game day. There is a $2 discount for military/student ID holders. Children 10-and-under get in free. Tickets are $12 at the door. Suicide seating is also available for those 18-and-older who want to be closer to the action. Suicide seating is $13 online or $15 at the door.
580 is ranked 274 out of the top 340 teams in the Women's Flat Track Derby Association's Feb. 28 rankings. Mo-Kan holds at No. 175.
