GP Museum to hold 'A Day with Archeologists'
Can you imagine how exciting it would be to hold a piece of history in your hand? You can achieve that goal by visiting the Great Plains Museum on Saturday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. at "A Day With Archeologists."
There will be several stations with archeologists there to look at finds from the public, and there are both inside and outside exhibits," said Vanessa Clay, assistant director of the program. "There will also be a geology exhibit and children will have hands-on exhibits they can explore. Debra Baker is the director of this event and we both would like to see a good turnout. It's fun to learn."
There will also be arts and crafts for kids, and all ages are welcome to attend.
"There is something for everyone to enjoy," Clay said.
The museum will be charging regular admission fees: $10 for age 13 and up; $9 for seniors, 62 and up, and military personnel; and $8 for children 3-12. Children 2 and under are admitted free. Museum hours are from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 1-5 p.m. on Sundays.
