Cattlemen to hold calf fry, fellowship

MEERS  The Tri-County Cattlemen's Association will have a calf fry and fellowship at 6 p.m. Jan. 18 in the Meers Community Building, a half-mile north of the Meers Store on the east side of Oklahoma 115.

The sponsors encourage each attendee to take a friend who is not a member of the association to recruit new members and earn a spot in the Top Hand Club. The association serves Comanche, Cotton and Tillman counties.

Attendees may bring their ideas for cattle industry policy to the table in the informal gathering of the minds. The Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association policy meeting is Jan. 25, and any policy ideas that come from the local meeting will be taken to the state level.

Meeting sponsors include the U2 Ranch (John, Cindy and Clay Zelbst of Meers), with the calf fries donated and prepared by Treadwell Land & Cattle of Frederick.
