State back in icebox
Hang onto your thermal hats because the Southwest Oklahoma winter roller coaster is headed down a steep hill.
It's a familiar story: frigid cold snaps followed by unseasonably warm and sunny days. Sometimes you get both in the same day: Pull on your parka in the morning, change into your shorts in the afternoon.
Expect more of the same today. A cold front that swept in Wednesday was expected to drop temperatures into the teens this morning, with gusts sending the wind chill to zero or below. The National Weather Service predicts a high in the 20s today and a low near 10 ó with more near-zero wind chills ó on Friday morning.
