Snyder helping family in need for Christmas

SNYDER  Snyder City Hall employees, the police department and volunteer firefighters are requesting help from local residents and businesses to provide Christmas gifts for a family's four children.

Gifts or monetary donations may be taken to Snyder City Hall, 721 E, weekdays through Dec. 11.

Some clothing and coats have already been ordered, but donations are still appreciated.

The "wish lists" of the family's four children include: 

Boy age 12: Hot Wheels cars, race tracks, remote control cars/helicopters, comic books and Big Nate and Captain Underpants books. He is also an Oklahoma Sooners fan.

Girl age 8: Second grade workbooks, second/third grade level books, baby dolls and anything "girly." She also likes playing "school."

Girl age 10: Bean bag chair, bedroom decor, crafts and jewelry making kits. She is a fan of the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Girl age 5: Art supplies, toy animals, baby dolls and books. She also likes to play "dress up."
