ANADARKO Teams familiar with Apache usually throw a box-and-one at junior guard Jalen Domebo.
Binger-Oney wasn't one of those teams and saw Domebo score 13 of his game-high 25 points in the fourth quarter as Apache pulled away for a 68-48 win Monday in the first round of the Caddo County Tournament boys bracket in Anadarko.
Apache used a 24-8 run in the final period to turn a 44-40 game in the third quarter into a late rout. Much of it was keyed by Domebo, who averages around 14 or 15 points per game, head coach Donald Youngstedt said.
"He's our best scoring player. A lot of people will face guard him. Teams that don't know us very well leave him open and he can knock (shots) down," Youngstedt said. "It was one of those deals tonight where they didn't have anyone sticking with him. He's pretty valuable."
Apache guard Damien Toles finished with 14 points and Dallas Nolan added 12. Toles, who hit two 3s against Binger, produces about 12 points per game and serves the Warriors well at the lead guard position.
