United in Christ Discipleship International has not yet opened its doors in Lawton, but church planter Bishop Michael Collins already has plans to reach out to the community. UICDI is a nondenominational church with locations worldwide and based in Woodbridge, Va. The most recent addition to the ministry is scheduled to open at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 12 at 19 NE 20th. Collins, along with his wife Martha who also is the church administrator came to Lawton after planting churches in Missouri and Korea with the hope of bringing Lawton people together. "UICDI means unity across demographics, ethnicities, cultures and denominations," he said. "We want to kick those walls down and come together as the body of Christ."
